The Super Food

The Green Blood

"Wheat sprouts are the highest in chlorophyll of any plant source."
~ The Acid-Alkaline Diet for Optimum Health by Christopher Vassey

Wheatgrass is called the Green Blood. Chlorophyll is the green pigment of the plant that resembles the structure of the hemoglobin of the red blood cells. Dr. Hans Fischer, a German chemist and a group of associates won a nobel prize for this discovery. Like the human blood, chlorophyll carries energy, nutrients and oxygen to the different parts of the plants. It is the blood of the plant. Interestingly, chlorophyll in the human body also delivers nutrition and oxygen to the blood and more so, studies have shown that it can stimulate production of healthy red blood cells and prevents anemia and different blood disorders.
