Are Your Wishes Powerful?

By Bo Sanchez

The hilarious (sometimes crazy) Fr. Eric Santos is a good friend of mine.
One day, he told me this story.
Fr. Eric said that he grew up in a very poor family, so poor that sometimes, they had nothing to eat.
But even if they were poor, his mother taught him the power of wishing.
He remembered the first time he blew his birthday candle.
His mother said, “Eric, make a wish before you blow the candle.”
So little Eric closed his eyes, made a wish, and blew his candle.
Later on, his mother asked him, “Eric, what wish did you make?”

Your Family Is Under Attack

By Bo Sanchez

I remember my first big fight with my Marowe.
We were about one year into our married life.
We were in the car, driving to a prayer meeting, of all things.
And then something I said—something very small (at least in my mind)—triggered World War III.
She began to cry. I began to shout.
It was awful.
By the time we arrived in the parking lot, we were still fighting. “I can’t go to the prayer meeting,” she said, her voice filled with pain.
“Let’s go home!” I said loudly, turning the car around.
We drove back to our house in dead silence. I was seething in anger. And she was too. The air was heavy with tension.
When we arrived home, the fighting continued. We threw hurting words at each other.
After more than two hours of accusations, counter-accusations, we were totally exhausted.
I asked her, “So what do you want to happen?”
“Happen to what?” she asked.
“What do you want to happen to this marriage?” I said.
“What do you want happen?” she asked.
Both of us were bringing up the possibility of separation.
That was when something supernatural happened…

Dengue Update

Public warned: Perfume attracts dengue mosquitoes
By Cynthia Balana
Philippine Daily Inquirer
First Posted 05:12:00 09/22/2010

Filed Under: Dengue, Health, Diseases, Health and Beauty Products
MANILA, Philippines—Perfume, which people use to attract the opposite sex, also attracts dengue and malaria-transmitting mosquitoes, according to a medical scientist who studies the behavior and biological life of insects.
Dr. Estrella Cruz, an entomologist at the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM), Tuesday said mosquitoes were attracted to people who sprayed too much perfume or cologne, who sweated profusely, and who wore dark, sleeveless clothing and shorts.
“Mosquitoes are attracted to hundreds of stimuli. They can smell humans, more so when you spray perfume or when you sweat,” Cruz said at a health forum on “Balancing the Department of Health’s Actions on Dengue” sponsored by the Philippine College of Physicians in Quezon City.
The Department of Health said that dengue, a mosquito-borne disease, has afflicted more than 50,000 people, and has killed at least 500 people.
The disease usually affects children and those whose immune system is weak. A mosquito transmits the disease by biting an infected person and then biting someone else.
2 types of mosquitoes
There are two types of dengue mosquitoes in the Philippines—the Aedes aegypti and the Aedes albopictus. The former dwells inside the house, mostly in dark places like the closet, under the bed and under the table, while the latter lives outdoors, mostly in drums and places with stagnant, clean or rain water, as well as in plants.
Although dengue mosquitoes are day-biting insects, they also bite at night, although at a very low density level, Cruz said.
Peak biting time is early morning between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. and late afternoon or sunset between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Cruz said it was important to know the peak biting time of mosquitoes for effective control measures like fogging.
She also warned against fogging when it’s raining or during hot days as the chemical used to kill the mosquitoes would not be as effective.
4 strains of dengue
Dr. Hazel Galang, an RITM virologist, or one who studies the viral strains and their activities in a laboratory, said there were four strains of dengue virus in the Philippines.
There were news of a possible fifth strain in the country but Galang said this had not been proven by research as there were not enough samples to date.
Since 2005, the RITM has been trying to determine which specific strain of dengue virus is unique to the Philippines and which is transmitted by mosquitoes from other countries, Galang said.
Blood transfusion
There is no specific treatment for dengue.
Dr. Allan Racho, a pediatric hematologist at St. Luke’s Medical Center, said patients with Grade 1 and 2 dengue should rest, drink plenty of fluids and take a paracetamol. Or they can go to health centers where they can be administered with IV fluids or dextrose.
He said only patients with Grade 3 and 4 dengue should get a blood transfusion.
It’s complicated
“Dengue is primarily a transient disease, meaning it follows its own clinical course. The problem with dengue is the complications,” Racho stressed.
He said the virus can affect the vascular system, the liver and the bone marrow. In some instances, the virus can attack the heart, brain and other parts of the body which could lead to death.
If after three days, the fever does not dissipate, Racho said the patient must go to a doctor for a blood test.
Dark mosquito trap
Nuna Almanzar of the Industrial Development Institute-Department of Science and Technology has developed a dark mosquito trap with a specially formulated solution that attracts female mosquitoes.
Almanzar said in the forum that the trap was being tested in 500 homes in “hot spot” barangays in Marikina City and another 500 homes in Quezon City.
A female mosquito, Almanzar said, can lay eggs three to four times in one cycle, and could breed 200 eggs or 800 eggs in one cycle.
Of these eggs, about 80 percent develop into female mosquitoes.

How You Can Be A Blesing Magnet

BY BO SANCHEZ

The Bible says, “Be thankful in all circumstances.”
You see, some people put “conditions” to their happiness:
I’ll be thankful if I find a boyfriend who is as cute as Enchong and has the body of Derek.
I’ll be thankful if my husband changes.
I’ll be thankful if my friend apologizes to me.
I’ll be thankful if I get promoted in my job.
I’ll be thankful if I have a baby.
I’ll be thankful if I graduate from school.
I’ll be thankful if I buy a new cellphone.
Friend, don’t do that. Don’t be unfair to yourself!
Or you’ll never be happy.
Don’t wait for something to happen before you become thankful. Make a decision to be thankful for the blessings that you have right now!
And you’ll be happy forever.
Follow Psalms 77:11 when it says, I will remember your great deeds, Lord; I will recall the wonders you did in the past.
Do you know what will happen?
By being thankful, you’ll become a blessing magnet.
If you want to increase your blessings, you’ve got to be thankful for the blessings that are already there.
Being Thankful Is Dynamite
Being thankful is powerful.
It has explosive power.
When you’re thankful, you unlock your happiness. You unlock your peace. You unlock the storeroom of God’s blessings. And you unlock your wealth.
Let me explain.
Wealth is not your money. Wealth is not your land. Wealth is not your jewelry. Why? Because wealth is a feeling.
Because wealth is not measured by how much money you have. Or how much land you own. Or how much jewelry you possess. Wealth is measured by how thankful you are.
Let me tell you a story.
Two years ago, a man came up to me, asking for prayers.
Irritation was written all over his face.
With much anger, he said, “Please pray for me, Brother Bo. My heart is so heavy. I’m a salesman. I got P350,000 in commission…”
I looked at him in a funny way. I wondered, So what’s so bad about that?
He shakes his head, “I know that seems big, Brother Bo, but it should have been P500,000! But I didn’t reach my quota by just a few pesos. Because of that technicality, I didn’t get half a million. I got P350,000 only…”
He felt so bad.
I prayed over him and asked God to heal his hurt.
After praying for him, I went backstage.
A friend of mine was waiting for me there.
When I saw her, she was smiling from ear to ear. She said, “Bo, I’m so happy. I just received a P3000 increase in my salary!”
I began to laugh. Her gratitude was so refreshing.
Tell me. Who was richer among the two? The one who got P350,000? Or the one who got the P3000?
Answer: The one who got the P3000.
Why?
Because wealth is not measured by how much money you have. It’s measured by how thankful you are.
Be Thankful Even When It’s Difficult
I know.
Some of you might be saying, “But Bo, it’s so difficult to be thankful now. You don’t know what I’m going through. My problems are over my head.”
Perhaps you’re buried in debt.
Perhaps your relationships are broken.
Perhaps sickness is ravaging your body.
Friend, if you want more miracles in your life, you’ve got to be thankful not only for what you see, but for what you do not see.
Being thankful in all circumstances means penetrating the physical realm and going into the spiritual realm. Entering into the sphere of the invisible. And thanking God that He is working behind the shadows. That He is working behind the storms of your life.
I remember the story of my friend, Aiai de las Alas.
Is It Storming In Your Life?
She was telling me how nervous she was when her first major movie was about to be released—the first movie where she was the main star.
Before it’s opening day, she prayed to God that it wouldn’t rain. So that a lot of people will watch her movie. She even went to Baclaran, knelt down, and implored that there be no rain.
When she woke up on her movie’s opening day, it wasn’t raining. She looked out the window and it was storming!
She switched on the radio. The radio reporter said, “Today, Pagasa has declared Signal Number 3 over Metro Manila…”
Her heart sunk. That day, Aiai cried buckets of tears. She asked God why He didn’t answer her prayer. She felt abandoned by God.
But a few days later, she learned what really happened. Because of the storm, school was cancelled. And all the students went to the malls. And just on the opening day, her movie grossed P13 Million.
And her movie became the top grossing film of that year!
The storm became her biggest blessing.
Friend, are there violent storms raging in your life right now?
Don’t give up. Don’t lose hope. Because God will turn that storm into your biggest blessing.
Let me end with one last instruction on being thankful…
Being Thankful On Credit
This is big.
This will impact your life in a powerful way.
Awhile ago, I told you to be thankful for the blessings that you already have. But you also have to learn to be thankful for the blessings that are yet to come.
Instead of praying with fear, “Lord, please give me a house. Please give me a house. Please give me house!” say instead with confidence, “Lord, I thank you for my house that is on it’s way!”
Thank God in advance for what He will do.
In the words of T.D. Jakes, Thank God on credit. (In other words, may utang pa si Lord sa iyo.)
Start thanking God in advance for the fulfillment of your dreams!

May your dreams come true,

Bo Sanchez

In the Report, I’ll tell you about a giant danger that you need watch out for, now that the Stock Market is shooting up to the stars. This Report will protect you from crazy mistakes a lot of people will be making in the next few months!
Not yet a TrulyRichClub Member? You’re missing so much! Because I can teach you how to prosper. For example, I believe you’re missing a lot if you don’t make the Stock Market your magic piggybank.
Hey, I know what people are going to say… (A lot of “Buts”.)
• “But Bo, I know many who got burned in the Stock Market.”
• “But Bo, isn’t the Stock Market for rich people only?”
Here are my answers:
• You’re not going to “trade” the Stock Market. (That’s why 85% of people lose their money—because they trade.) You’re going to “invest” in the Stock Market. That’s totally different. I’ll teach you how to do this. If you follow my simple strategy, you’ll retire a multimillionaire.

• You say only people with big money can invest in the Stock Market? Tell that to my maids at home. They will laugh at you. Because I taught my three house helpers how to invest their small amounts each month--and they’re now exceedingly happy. Because their money has grown tremendously in their magic piggybank called the Stock Market.
I repeat: Follow my strategy and you’ll retire a multi-millionaire.

Conquer Your Fears And Start Wishing

By Bo Sanchez

Imagine that you just arrived in a foreign country.
And you got lost.
And worse, when you checked your wallet, you ran out of money.
And you’re starving.
You haven’t had food the whole day.
So you walk into to a giant food area.
Around you are various food stalls selling hot congee, steaming noodles, and giant sandwiches.
Your mouth waters.
So you decide to ask for free food.
You rehearse your speech: “I’m from the Philippines. I just arrived yesterday. I’m lost. Can you spare me some food? I don’t have money with me.”
But then something stops you.
It’s an emotion you know very well.
You think to yourself, “What if they don’t believe me? What if they think I’m just fooling them? What if they think I’m just a con artist looking for a free meal?”
So you throw away the plan.
You try to find your way home instead, leaving the food stalls, overflowing with food.

Three Fears That Can Stop You From Success

Fear is a powerful thing.
The reason why you don’t ask is because various fears:

1. You fear rejection.
Rejection stings.
Someone says, “I can’t help you.”
But instead, you hear the words, “I don’t like you.”

2. You fear disappointment.
Disappointment can crush you.
So you lower your expectations by not asking.

3. You fear you’re not worthy.
A poor self-image will keep you from asking.
You think you don’t deserve to be helped by others.

But here’s a basic Law of life: If you want to get what you want, you have to conquer your fears.

What Happens When You Ask

Let’s go back to the example above.
You decide to feel your fear—and ask anyway!
You approach ten food stalls one after another.
Nine food stalls owners drive you away and curse you in three different languages you don’t understand.
But the last one, a kindly old man named Mr. Chan said “yes”. He gives you food with a gentle grandfatherly smile.
You slurp it up like a dog.
Mr. Chan was moved with pity, he even gives you bus money and directions how to go back to where you are staying.
The next day, you come back to pay him.
He declines, saying he really likes helping people.
He then introduces you to the other Store Owners who are now apologizing to you. You brush your hand and say it was nothing.
You gain a few friends in the giant food center.
You tell them that you cook delicious adobo and wondered if they could sell it for you. Three storeowners agreed.
You make your first delivery and it was a big hit.
After one year, you also marry Mr. Chan’s handsome son named Jackie, but that’s another story altogether.
It pays to ask.
Being rejected nine times out of ten is okay, hmm?

What,s Wheatgrass?

What's Wheatgrass

History

During the early 1900's, a man named Edmund Bordeaux Szekely discovered an ancient biblical which he subsequently translated. It was a remarkable discovery and Szekely was so..

King of Alkaline Food

"Wheat sprouts contain more alkaline minerals than any other sprouts or green vegetables. The iron content of wheat sprouts is higher than that of spinach."

The Super Food

In the book The Perricone Promise by Dr. Nicholas Perricone he cited Wheatgrass as one of the super foods.

Indeed, Wheatgrass is considered as a life-sustaining complete food. Just take a look at the cattle. With their muscular built and might, they are able to survive just by eating grass.

The Green Blood

"Wheat sprouts are the highest in chlorophyll of any plant source."
~ The Acid-Alkaline Diet for Optimum Health by Christopher Vassey

Wheatgrass is called the Green Blood. Chlorophyll is the green pigment of the plant that resembles the structure of the hemoglobin of the red blood cells. Dr. Hans Fischer, a German chemist and a group of associates won a nobel prize for this discovery. Like the human blood, chlorophyll carries energy, nutrients and oxygen to the different parts of the plants. It is the blood of the plant. Interestingly, chlorophyll in the human body also delivers nutrition and oxygen to the blood and more so, studies have shown that it can stimulate production of healthy red blood cells and prevents anemia and different blood disorders.
